The Car

The Cabrio is based mainly on the city-coupe tridion safety cell, but altered so that it is still as safe as the city-coupe maybe safer. The alterations to the tridion safety cell have increased the strength of the A and B Pillar also the added roll bar makes the car extremely safe if it were to roll. The nice feature of the Cabrio is the 3 stage roof and the removable roof rails this means there are many different variations in which you can have the roof up or down.
Stage 1) Roof fully up
Stage 2) The top part of the roof rolled back to the roll bar
Stage 3) The whole roof totally down but still with roof rails fitted
Stage 4) The whole roof totally down but with the roof rails removed
This gives the car much more flexibility so the car can be used with the roof down more often and also means that the car can feel like a proper convertible car or with the roof rails the car feels extra safe but this can also mean that with the roof up it creates an extremely good seal and a very water tight roof.
The Cabrio uses specially designed rear lights for the model which means the car looks distinctively different from the city-coupe, but with the changes to the tridion this also means that the lights are a different shape to those used on the city-coupe and also the clear sections of the light fit flush to the tridion rather than a tridion coloured light frame fitting to the tridion this also means that the lights are not segmented like the city-coupe lights and add to the flow of the whole appearance.
